Angry Keyless Entry Help!?

Hey guys,

Well, I decided to convert my interior lights to all LED's this morning; they look great, only problem is that my keyless entry is acting mysteriously! As I was removing the passenger side step/courtesy light, the screwdriver I was using to pry the light out touched the hot side of the terminal and a metal bracket and quickly buzzed no longer than a 1/4 second. It was a dumb move but I put the new light in and it worked great...I assumed no harm, no foul.

As I walked inside, I clicked lock on my keyfob twice like I always two and it only flashed the hazard lights once. I tried clicking it again and nothing. Tried unlocking it and nothing. 5 minutes went by and I try to unlock it using the fob again and it flashes once but that's it. It's like I only got one signal to get accepted.

I've replaced the battery, reprogrammed the remote, etc etc.....still the same thing: it's just dead. Have not tried looking at any fuses(hopefully I'll find the culprit there) but I'm really reallyyy hoping it's not the BCM or another module that got zapped when I briefly short circuited the courtesy light!!!

Any guesses/insight is welcome and highly appreciated!!!

Okay, the plot thickens.....just in playing around with it now, it looks as if I can lock it as many times as I like but as soon as I hit UNLOCK on the fob, it only lets me do it once and then everything shuts down for a minute. After waiting a minute, I can lock the car but if I hit unlock again, it freezes it. Too weird!

I would start by checking all your fuses, if nothing is wrong try putting the stock bulbs in and seeing if it fixes it. If not, idk what to say haha

For all others that might have the same issue, I partially FIGURED it OUT!!! It appeared to be an LED map light issue! For any further insight, see: https://g35driver.com/forums/interio...ml#post6133944
