Question Mods that help gas mileage?

Are there any mods out there that can help my gas mileage? My gas mileage is horrible!

put a small block of wood under your accelerator pedal so you can't push it down as far

K&N claims their air filters can slightly improve mileage. Also make sure your tires are inflated to the proper level, or go a little higher to reduce rolling resistance. Keep your oil clean and do changes as required. Lastly, try to be cognizant of your driving style. Do you apply the brakes instead of just letting your foot off the pedal and coast? Do you launch like a drag racer from every stoplight? Shift at 3k or lower too.

Presumably any mod that causes you to run leaner will improve gas mileage. This includes pretty much all airflow mods.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

lighter wheels will reduce the ammount of unsprung weight and will definately help. i also heard a rumor that ppl were getting better mileage with the ground wires. i dont know how true that is though. i agree with p diddy though. your driving style and propper maintance will affect your MPG more than anything.

A/C. Try to use it as little as possible as soon as the weather warms up. It'll make an enormous difference.

You should get the "tornado" lololllllll, no but seriously umm, just dont push the car and accelerate gradually, nothing else you can really do that will dramatically increase gas mileage!

My K&N panel filter and switch over to synth have bumped me from 18.5 to 22.5 over the last 600 miles or so (two tanks of gas).

This is with city driving.

Of course...traffic has been somewhat light the last 2 weeks, and I've been at highway speeds a lot more, so that might have something to do with it.

But I got the same exact results with my WRX, and it was not due to driving style or traffic patterns.

Oh yeah, use 5th and 6th as much as possible.

If you actually OWNED a G instead of driving your daddy's car "on occasion", you might be aware of the thirsty nature of our vehicles. Some folks have a job, make money, and put a LOT of it into our tanks. I myself was initially concerned by the 12 MPG seen at first. It has gotten better since.

That monstrous picnic-table of a rear wing "messing up YOUR noggin?"

Ge a better job, make more money...then you won't have to cry about your mileage. We drive at 6000 rpm all day long and laugh at the mpg. I heard the Civic gets 28mpg. How the Bears doin?

That is a ridiculous response. My wife and I make enough money to own 2 G's, does that mean we should go out and buy another?

Just because someone has enough money to pay for something (i.e. gasoline) does that automatically mean they should? If you had enough money to pay $60k for your Evo, would you have?

I don't see any reason to not want a couple of more MPG out of the G...especially if it is a daily driver and its a long drive to work.

Keep the flame responses elsewhere, like the Evo forums.
