too much exhaust flow will give you rasp... so your better off with the OEM cats with restriction to eliminate rasp.. like it or not
You not thinking of the right x-pipe. The x-pipe that is built in to the ARK is non resonated. Look at the link posted before from performance peddler for the resonated x-pipe.

They don't carry a resonated x pipe. I just called them. But this IS the one that everyone uses and works pretty good from all the videos I have seen.

To all of you that continue to call Magnflows X-Pipe "Resonated" it's not! It's exactly what is says it is, a X-Pipe that joins the exhaust pulses from both sides which replaces the dated T or crossover. FYI

The part that is most popular with clone owners is Magnflow's 11385 and 14386 which is what most of us use. It is an x-pipe the is perforated, enclosed in a housing to dampen sound. It's actually a muffler, but use the term "resonated" loosely in comparison to an x-pipe that is not perforated nor enclosed in a housing, aka the standard traditional x-pipe.

Did you ask for the part number? It's 11386 (non-polished) 14386(polished).

Yes I did. I already posted the link for that x pipe earlier so I knew what I was asking for. It's not technically resonated. So it cant be called a resonated x pipe. But it does the job so who cares

Here's what mine sounds like under WOT (better than simply revving from a standstill like most videos). I'm in the white coupe.

Using the Magnflow part number 11385 they refer to it as a "Muffler!" I'm so glad I don't have a clone exhaust on my coupe, bad enough I was forced to add an X-Pipe to correct the HKS quality control error.... My answer to all this....buy MotorDyne, they may have production issues but not quality headaches.

MF does make a res x-pipe, looks like a 2-in/2-out muffler, a lot of people have run them w/great success.

You bought an expensive exhaust and still had a headache lol. I paid 240 bucks and I'll I got to do is buy a $80 part to make it sound good like I've seen on many videos. Now I can spend all that extra money on things that really matter! Woooo

Ok so I just found out that my clone HKS exhaust is 2.25 in and that the magnaflow xpipe muffler everybody is talking about is 2.5 inch. Is it stupid to put a 2.5 inch between 2.25 inch exhaust. will I lose power doing this???
