Kuruma Z Front Bumper

For the Kuruma Z Front Bumper do you have to put a grill behind it or what? I was looking at some pictures and it looked like there was a grill behind the bumper. I was wondering if you have to have something behind it or not and what are other alternatives?

Quite frankly i didn't like the look of the grill behind the front bumper and was wondering what else can i put there?

Thanks for you help

Depending on which vendor you buy the kuruma from, it'll come with mesh or not. It's up to you whether you want to use mesh or not. Unless you have an intercooler behind the bumper, mesh is the way to go, IMO. Some people just go to the Home Depot and buy some.

You need to order your KurumaZ bumper with the metal mesh! Firstly it looks much better and the mesh will keep trash out of your cooling system along with rocks that might damage it. I've been there, mesh is the way to go....

Tim normally I would agree with you but this mesh comes framed and anodized black so all you'll ever need to do is install....solid one piece construction that never needs painting. It was worth the quality for me to spend the extra $$!

I suggest getting the mesh too. I am yet to get it for my Kuruma Z, but a couple weeks ago while driving on the highway, a think rubber floormat from a chevy truck flew up and went RIGHT into the space where the mesh goes in the middle. Broke a bunch of the plastic pieces behind the bumper, but luckily the radiator and everything serious was fine.

Speaking of which.. Gary, how do you install it? Do you have to drill hooks into the inside of the bumper or what?

The Kuruma Z bumper from CZP already comes with pre-drilled areas for you to drill the screws in to hold the mesh.
