Wall of shame

What have you broken on your car? Either not installing something right, Driving spirited? or damage that others have done.

Fcked up my oem front bumper when installing projectors. a nice deep scratch through the paint on the corner of where it meets the headlight. Was heated at first but then realized my bumper is garbage anyways since its rock chipped to death. Some touch up paint fixed it for the mean time, installing an inven bumper after the winter though.

Way too much to list. From exterior damages I did after getting new contacts, simple scrapes on the interior I did from carelessly doing my own doubledin install... to having my mom think she was "helping" me by scraping my hood with a piece of **** plastic snow scraper... To having my brother borrow it one night, and end up getting drunk and driving it into a small pole... From being an idiot, thinking I can take corners as well as an MR2 and ending up in an odd ditch, to following a dump truck too closely, having some rocks fall and chip my windshield.

UGH. And, somehow... My car STILL looks so clean; almost mint condition from the naked eye. It's really weird. Serengeti Sand is pretty amazing.

Hit a tire tread on the freeway in bumper-to-bumper traffic at 60. Punched a hole in my front lip and did this to my Z Speed undertray:

This is the replacement:

I consider myself lucky that I've never damaged any part of SLICK. The most frustrating thing that happens to me is dropping a nut/bolt or one of those plastic fasteners when working under the hood. I since magnetized all my screwdrivers and a few 10 to 13mm wrenches which helps. I hit one of those truck treads on the fwy but the only damage was a few scuffs....see I am Lucky!

While changing lanes a truck carrying concrete was leaking it's load. I didn't realize it was concrete. Actually it sounded like sand but I didn't pay too much mind to it since it sounded like sand and i was only behind him for 5-10 seconds while changing lanes. When I got to where I was going, the entire front bumper & over half of the grill & headlights were covered in concrete! Luckily it was still fresh and it all came off by spraying it with a hose & not rubbing it into the paint.

I was drunk and not going to drive, instead let my buddy. He backed into a pole, pulled forward and then backed into a friend of ours suv. Scrapped the paint on the rear passenger side quarter panel. Same buddy hopped in the G and pulled the door close and the pull handel broke, I'm fixing that one because I watched him pull it and he didnt pull it an harder than I do. Let another buddy drive my car to drop off his girlfriends friend and he backed into my garage and hit my HUGE trash can and snapped the passenger side mirror off. Other than that I havent done anything wrong!

Got rear ended in summer 2010 and in January this year I backed up into my housemate's Sienna due to dense fog. Also scratched the front fender from the bumper wiggling around when I was swapping the headlights with projectors. Passenger window somehow came off track and tore the window stripping during my ownership - not sure how, probably from all the passengers who insist on slamming the door.
