Perhaps it's the newer members (blind guess) that haven't driven and gotten to know the engine very well, so the difference is more subtle to them. Just a thought.

I drove about 8,000 miles on my car and installed everything at the same time and didn't notice much. Maybe it's the older G owners that are losing their grip on reality? Lol JK

looooooooooool. My vision of reality is quite distorted to be honest lol.

I wish I could say more, but my motor is still 100% stock Been driving stock for nearly 40k miles, so I think I'd notice the small difference a Plenum Spacer makes. MAYBE NOT.. We'll see eventually.

Thats because the non-revup has a different lower plenum then the revup engine. The MREV2 is basically a re-machined plenum from the non-revup. Therefore, those with an 05+ 6MT will need to combine the spacer with the MREV2 to notice a difference while everyone else will just need the spacer. As already mentioned an ECU reset will help.

im kinda confused about these different spacers.. i know the copper ones are ment for people in states with really cold temps.. it looks like the OP got the regular MD plenum (not iso) and he is back east. is the only difference between the iso and the normal plenum that lil valve thing? i live in socal and confused if i really need the iso one or will the regular one work just as well for my area..(sorry to OP didnt mean to thread jack if i did, just didnt think a whole new thread would be wise)

OMG you are confused, check out what Tony at MD has to say....you'll see the light! Copper is a gasket needed for those of us that live in hot climates to reduce heat....see?

Thanks Tim, maybe Tony can shed a little light on this old subject so our new member aren't left in the dark.

When u hooked the negative battery cable back up does the alarm go off?

Does anyone know the difference between the 5/16 and the 1/2" spacer? Is it just more space = more air?

I believe the 1/2" mostly takes it's toll in the higher RPM range, while the 5/16" is consistent despite the RPM.

Yep^^ the 1/2" makes more gains in the upper RPMs and the 5/16 makes more gains in the lower to mid RPMs.
