06 G35 6MT Starting Problems

So lately I have had some issues trying to start my car. Here and there over the past 3 months once or twice it did not start up right away ( I just thought I turned the key over and tried to start it too fast). Well today seems like it would not start at all. To test the battery, starter.. ect I turned my lights on and tried to start the car. No flickering or "cranking sound".. ok so i figured its a bad relay or something? All power works.. check the battery.. and its giving the appropriate voltage. I checked the little black button near the clutch pedal.. pressed that in and it seems to crank over.. Not every time ( tried starting the car a few times after it ran).. but seems to be more responsive after doing that.

Any ideas? Or just a bad relay from the ignition to the board or starter ( not sure exactly where it goes)?

Thanks,

I've had the exact same problem. It happened once back in January a few weeks after I bought the car. Then it happened twice this week. The car tries to start up, but it acts like it's not getting any fuel. I do it a few times, then randomly it starts up just fine like nothing was happening.

I'm confused.

Take it to Advance Auto Parts, they'll test the starter, alternator, and battery for free. Lights don't need to necessarily flicker for one of those to be on it's way out.

Have you checked your air filter? Could be dirty, check the throttle body as well. My car would not start after warming up at times, i would have to give it gas just to start up. I recharged my K & N filter and clean the throttle body and it starts with no problem. Oh yea when you clean your throttle body, make sure to do a ecu reset/idle relearn procedure to clean your CEL that you will get. Hopefully this helps you out.
