Wow.

I keep seeing alot of these swaps in Z/G cars. I guess our drivelines are pretty stout. I don't hear of too many broken diffs/axles.

Why the heck would you want to do that? Most people want their V6's to sound like V8's or more.... LOL.

These sound clips don't do justice, it somewhat makes the car sound like a truck. The real life sound is amazing, it's straight up muscle car. Awesome.

The G/Z sound is very unique, and surprisingly aurally pleasant, don't you think?

V8's sound great, too. Nissan did hit a home run on the exhaust tuning, IMO.

That said, my friends 03 Z06 has the most haunting noises I have ever heard. When I was looking for another car, I intended to buy a Z06 or M3 purely for the noises those things make. I wound up with the G since it was more GT - something I needed for my 50 mile commute.

Care to share how much it set you back for the entire parts list?

And labor (unless you did it yourself), or possibly a shop quote.

This is epic.

Okay heres the list.

Sikky Kit minus the harness 4500.00
LS2 Engine and trans 5800.00
Ls6 Heads stage 2.5 Heads and custom cam/ monster stage 2 clutch and flywheel 3000.00
Rad 200.00
Intake 175.00
Exhaust 560.00
Tuning 650.00
Wheels and tires 1000.00
Other little parts fluids/fuel lines/fuel pump 800.00
Car 10900.00

Around 28K as is.

No spacers on the rims fit perfect. Pulling the motor out this winter to upgrade with 427 block and turbo kit possibly. I do have power steering and the AC is in just havent connected the ac lines since I'm about to pull the motor to upgrade. The car is a daily driver if need be. I bought this car just to do this. Had the motor ripped out less than 48 hours of buying. If I had all the parts ready for the swap it could be done in two days. Its very simple and I have figured out all the odds and in to a great setup. Cooling was the biggest problem. Solved and havent lost to any car that has pulled up next to me. For some odd reasons these mustang seem to keep finding me. Guess they think I have a exhaust leak on my V6. LOL. Thanks for all the comps. Car is to be used for THMotorsports.com If yall need parts look them up for great buys. Thanks again. Also all the work ( engine build and install ) was completed by me and the wife. If you do the swap I dont mind answering any of your questions.
