Somethin' screechin'
Just installed a brand new exhaust, and there is some screeching noise coming from what sounds like the rear right side. I went and looked under, and everything seems to be tiptop. The screeching isn't always present, and it seems to just start up randomly. My exhaust doesn't appear to be touching anything at all, and even if it was just touching something, it shouldn't be scraping/screeching for those extended periods of time... I tested to see if braking caused it, but nope... Turned sharply; didn't appear to be the cause. This happened immediately after two turns on my first test drive after completing the exhaust install (entire exhaust, including XY pipe, mid pipes, muffler and tip). As I said before, I checked and everything seems to be in condition, so... Perhaps I touched something elsewhere that I can't see, causing it to scrape against something else on my car?

Other than making sure none of your exhaust components are touching metal anywhere, I've got nothing for you, sorry.
Does the noise sound like metal on metal or is it possible it's the exhaust tone?

Only real way to tell is by getting your G on a lift making sure you have clearance around the newly installed components. Check on your hangers are they lined up where they should be? Otta be easy to spot once she's up in the air....

Well, apparently it was pure coincidence, and it was just the brake warning thingy, because my pads were basically non-existent. Replaced the pads last night and screeching is kaput.
