Edit: At this point, it doesn't even matter. You keep living by your miracle touch up paint and I'll just face reality that I'll occasionally scrape my bumper when I drive.

Guess it's time to throw in my .02. Slick is just that, she's beautiful as Gary said. However, I do agree with Son that a little touch up paint isn't going to make a beat up bumper look like new. I bought the Dr. Colorchip kit to fix some of my miscues and while it helped it in no way made my scratches/chips look new.

So I guess what I'm saying is let's agree to disagree and move forward w/o the bickering. I respect you both (Son/Gary) but this thread got seriously off topic and is proving to be nothing more than a bunch of b!tching that solves nothing (not that I haven't been amused at the back and forth). You both are intelligent, mature individuals even though Gary has a few, OK a lot more years on you Son () so I hope you both understand what I'm saying.

LOL all this over touch up paint and scraping...but its truth touch up paint will never make it look brand new up close

He never said it'll look impeccable. Wouldn't hurt to have some touch-up paint to, you know, touch-up a bit...

Personally, Id only use touchup paint if its only on like 5 small spots, otherwise I'd just have the bumper repainted. I hate the way touchup paint looks.

LOL!! I think this thread can come down to a single sentence... The use of "Touch Up" Paint is to fix a few small blemishes like rock chips or scratches.. I used the medium sized bottle of the product Gary is referencing and it worked great. Couldnt tell there was ever a rock chip there but I agree it is not for larger repairs.. Its a good option to save 150 for a respray.
