I have a 2003 g35 coupe auto and am going to race my friend with a 2012 genesis coupe 3.8
i really wanna win just to make fun of the fact his is a 2012, its a 3.8 mines a 3.5, and mines worth about 15k and his is 30k so i was thinking what should i buy to make my car faster please help!!!!!!

but i am not the type of person to have those type of things on my car i like to keep it stock

i was thinking about NOS, nitrious, just a SMALL 50-100 shot but idk if that is a good idea and how much it will cost

Turbo or TT would be way to expensive for me at the moment so i need some advice.

do sum research but I don't think u'll have a chance against him since you're an auto...if you were a 6spd, then that would be a different story...but the auto's aren't that quick...a Transgo Valve body upgrade would be good for the transmission but that would require you to not have the car for a few days...it's a delicate mod and I wouldn't try to do that myself...that will help you shift a lot faster and crisper but it won't provide more power...Nitrous isssss an option but dangerous...do some more research on the forum and you may get some answers...look on youtube to see if there are any vids of the 2 types of cars that u guys have racing...you may get your answer that way too...

Otherwise, don't bother...it's still an auto..so don't expect to be flying pass him...

 

The automatics aren't drastically slower than manuals. In fact, I bet he'd fair better in an automatic than in a manual... He seems like a 16 year old (no offense to other 16 year olds). Talking about street racing is prohibited on this website. Not only that, but you honestly shouldn't be doing it.

OP, you have a slower car than your friend. Cry about it, or accept it. You're not going to be able to boast unless you are willing to go big bucks. You gotta pay to play. Nos is an option, but probably the unsafest route...

 

You're not going to win, even if you have bolt-ons. Just take solace that you have an Infiniti and he has a Hyundai. That's about the best thing you can do.

About the only way you'd have a good chance is if you had a 6 speed and he had the automatic.

IBTL. You should only do this kind of driving on a track or drag strip. Who cares if your car is faster than his?

 

Just make sure you don't go with a 100 shot of NOS. You're lucky if a 100 shot of NOS doesn't blow the welds on the intake.
