i honestly dont remember. i think i had it at the dealer for something else and had them check it. i THINK they just had to reset it, but i'm not sure, sorry
I'm having the same issue. Guys this isnt a VDC issue as my VDC is kicking turning left at a traffic light going 25 mph and then speeding up to the posted speed limit. Its not a matter of driving, at least for me. I did however recently have work done to the steering column, and I will now go to the dealership to have them reset this sensor. I'm also wondering if its a bad wheel bearing, did a search on here and found 3 other threads with something similar to your problem and mine.
So good luck man!

It's because your car is an 5AT and is equipped with a 5AT-SDAS (self-destruction-avoidance system). If it was a 6MT, the car would presume the driver was more skilled and allow you to drive faster into the corners than you can with your 5AT-SDAS equipped vehicle.
LOL.... Just kidding man....
But in all seriousness, if you have altered the size of your tires from stock, the sensors that detect wheelspin might be reacting a little hyper-sensitively to your cornering. I know my car used to be a lot more sensitive about wheelspin when I first got it with the stock Michilin Pilotsports on it. I've since switched to Falken FK452 tires with a 245/45/18 in back and 245/40/18 up front, and my car seems to not trip the VDC system as easily now, even though the tires I have are a lot crappier than my OEM ones and slip a lot easier. VDC still does its job(I think?... I rarely see it come on anymore to be honest), just not in such an invasive fashion as it used to before. I did quite a bit of research before I bought my size tires, in fear that I would screw up the VDC system by going from 225/45/18's up front to something with a 245 width up front, but it appears that the size I got (in my specific brand of tire) is just the right size to make the car work perfectly with the VDC system. Just to be clear... this is by no means me supporting Falken FK452 tires either... they pretty much slip like crazy in the rain and/or cold and when it comes time to replace them next spring, I'll probably try something else in the same size.
