Car brakes for me on hard turns! WTF

So... I have 03 G35 AT coupe. When I take corners hard, the slip light turns on and my brakes kick in by themselves... it's pretty dangerous. Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

VDC. It's there to keep you from losing control.

Forgot to clarify... by hard I meant taking a turn at 40 lol.

If I turn VDC off I can push it a tad bit more but the brakes will still kick in for me.

Yeah, you gotta install a separate switch for that or just kill it. I am definitely not taking turns like I'm Ken Block. I'm talking about turns I could be doing + 20~ mph.

I think you should take your car to the track and get to know what your car can do and can't do. A hear people lost control of there car and crash because they have the VDC off. just know your limits

How did you fix it? I'm seriously not pushing my car to it's limits lol, in fact its probably the complete opposite. If I were just to make a right turn on a street going 40 then my car brakes for me... Like I said, not doing anything stupid here.

Even when vdc is off there is still a use sensor under the console that kicks in when it senses excessive body movement ( hard cornering for instance) and trips the vdc back on. There are ways to bypass it but be very careful if you do so. Searching for disable vdc here should get you more info.

90 degree turns are 40 aren't stupid? What kind of turns are you talking about? VDC comes on when the car is way out of wack, not from normal driving.

You may be scaring other drivers who aren't used to seeing people turn that fast/hard. Be aware you're not the only one on the road.

I've never had the VDC intervene when I've had it switched OFF, so I am confused as to what you're doing in your car. Only when ON did it stop wheel spin. You know where the switch is?

Try driving with VDC off as others said the car is a COMPLETELY different beast. Also as others said you can never full turn VDC off i was practicing drifting in an empty parking lot and 360d the car and sure enough vdc kicked in. So long story short when VDC is "off" it just allows a lot more wheel spin, when its "on" it allows very little wheel spin. Also the car is slower on the drag strip with VDC on and i have time slips to prove this.

if you had any suspension work or alignment done, take it in and make sure the steering angle sensor isn't screwed up.... happened to me.
