Is there a thread where people can list their winter tire setups? Wheels and tires. Couldn't see one.

Well, after all that I found a deal on some 350Z staggered touring wheels with snow on them.
245/45/18 all around.

The back tire is rubbing a bit when I hit big bumps so I'll have to get the rear lips rolled.

I don't like the way the front stick out a bit so I'm hoping to change the fronts to 225/45/18.

Eventually going to 225's all around.

Here's some pics

I wouldn't go 225's all around because the rear tires will be stretched. I would keep a staggered setup like 225 front and 235 in the back

Ten millimeters isn't going to be remotely close to stretched. I can't stand the "stretched" look, but even if I did, there's no way someone will be able to look at 225's on the rear wheels and tell they're not 235's without reading the sidewalls. We're talking about 3/8", split between both the visible side and non-visible side of the tire.

Hmm. I never even considered the "stretched" factor. First time I've had a staggered wheel setup. The 245's are pretty wide for the back..especially for my winters. I'm hoping rolling the back lip will help but the tire is pretty much in line with the outer edge of the wheel well. The tire could still potentially hit the quarter on big bumps even with the lip rolled. And this is Toronto, no lack of big bumps here!!

You can see how much of a gap I have at the back, and that's with stock suspension.

So what's the consensus if I changed the size? Could I go 225 all around with the staggered wheels? Or could I only go to a 235 on the back?

Ok. So I had the rear wheel wells rolled thanks to GeeRider, good price and a good guy! I rubbed the back tires several times on the way out to get them done. There was some concern when looking at the tires if they would still rub even with the rolling.

I didn't hear any rubbing on my way home so it appears as though the rolling worked for my application. I plan on putting 350z revised springs on the car to bring it down a bit so I'm still thinking I should go narrower, I'm thinking either 235's all around or 225's. This setup will also allow me to rotate the tires and would still be an improvement over my 215/60/17's both in performance and aesthetics.
