What do you guys think would look better? A light tint like 50% or a dark tint like 35% on a Obsidian Black coupe. Also when I get wheels, they aren't going to be black since I don't like black on black cars if that changes anything.

Go 35% at least... lower would be nicer, but 35% is a lot more useful, and better looking than a 50%. Your window darkness won't affect the way your wheels contrast the rest of your car, since you're not going to get any other colored windows...

Well I kind of like the tint on the picture that Jaxon1023 posted, but I would Probably want it a little bit darker. So maybe 35%. I'm still trying to find some pics of OB's with a description that says the tint percent though.

Don't bother with 50%. That's way too light. Even 35% is too light but obviously better.

Your first consideration should be the tint laws in the state where you live, it's not cool to get a ticket a block from the tint shop. OB coupes look good with darker tint so there's a fine line you need to walk between legal and cool. If you go with 35% make sure it's charcoal which will look better on your coupe....Good Luck!

Tint pics are useless. 35% is a bit on the light side imo, 20 is alright but still a bit too light.

Black cars can get away with darker tint because there isn't as much contrast. Something to think about depending on your states tint laws. 20% wont appear as dark on your car as it does on my DG. I wouldn't go any lighter than 35% though.

in most places cops care less about tints..
the only thing you have to go through is passing state inspection..but hell with the inspection i pay the guy extra to pass me

I got 20% on mine and it looks perfect IMO. Any lighter doesn't really look right. I've gone 20% on every car I've ever owned and any darker would probably attract way too much attention from police

I agree. I have 20% on mine and love it. I had 10% before on my 300zx and couldn't see out my window at night. 20 is the magic number for me.
