Wet passenger Floor

After driving 4 hours with the AC on on low, I noticed when I got home the passenger floor was soaked! Also I was driving in the hard rain for most of the trip. This is a 05 Coupe with only 20K miles. Is it the AC drain condensation problem or some sort of rain leak? Any ideas?

I would guess rain leak. You'd better dry that rug out pretty soon with a blow dryer before the car starts to get a mildewy smell. Check for leaks in your windshield, sunroof, firewall and door window seals by spraying them down with a hose while someone else sits inside the car and looks for signs of water seeping in.

If you find the leak, you can probably plug it up with some sort of water-proof silicone sealant.

Mine leaks right now through the wiring harness where it goes into the car from someone running the edfc wires through there. Thats where i would look.

Well I'm doing some troubleshooting. I removed the mats and replace it with cut out paper bags. I washed the car and saw the paper bag under the air conditioner wet. Then I opened the hood and sprayed water in the little screen area behind the battery. (Fresh Air Intake?) Now the water was pouring in. This weekend I'll remove the plastic screen and see if it the wire gromet is not seating right after running the Sub's power wire or a possible seal or drain that is plugged with trash. I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the idea.

You could also have a clogged drain hose from the evaporater assembly.Put the car up on a lift and locate the hose/pipe and use a long screw driver and put it in the tube...just dont stand in the path of the drain or you will get soaked.

Dude, I've got the same issue. I'm assuming mine is from the amp wires I ran. Which is where I'm going to start looking when I tear into my car this weekend. I'll report back when I narrow it down.

Water Leak Solved!!! Gromet behind battery was loose.

Leak Solved!!! Gromet behind battery was loose. After installing my Sub, I had to the power wire and routed the wire through the fat gromet with all the main wire bundle. The Gromet is hell trying to get perfect back in place. So what would happen every time you washed the car or rain, water would find it's way to the gromet area and leak in. So what I did today is to reinstalled it as best as I could then surounded the gromet where it meets the body of the car with clear silicone sealent. Frankly the placement of that groment is very poor design. Just a leak waiting to happen
Hope this helps others.
