Warranty Void?

Question Warranty Void?

Hey guys Just got my G last week. I was wondering if my warranty would be void if I put a cai and exhaust. Can u guys help me?

nope... it shouldn't unless you damaged something as a result of the install. Call your dealer just to affirm it as well. I called my dealer regarding intake and exhaust and they said that it would not void the warranty on other parts.

As with any car, it is often times subject to the individual dealer's discretion. You will find some dealers to be much more "mod-friendly" than others. I can't really see an exhaust affecting any part of your warranty, but we have seen a rash of MAF failures due to over-oiling of K&N style filters. I personally tend to "look the other way" on most modifications unless it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that an aftermarket part caused the failure (ex. finding the sensor element on a MAF completely coated in red filter oil). A good amount of the warranty parts taken off vehicles need to be sent in to the manufacturer for inspection. If they ascertain that an outside variable caused the failure, I'm paying for your repair, long after you have already left the dealership without a bill.
