Passenger seat question...

Just curious if the passenger seat is suppose to move up automatically when the seat is folded down? I know the driver seat does it, but not sure if the passenger seat is suppose to because mine doesn't.

And if it's not suppose to... why doesn't it? Haha I feel bad for my back seat passengers.

I have a *** import Skyline 350GT and my passenger seat has the auto slide as have all the other I've seen. I would have thought the G35 would be the same.

I bought mine used a few months ago and it didn't really occur to me until a couple of days ago my co-worker tried to get out of the back seat and was having a hard time. Maybe mine is broken?

On both the Passenger and Driver seat, in the back middle of the seat, there is a lever the rear occupant can use to fold the seat forward. At the bottom of that lever, there is a little button, push it and the seat will slide forward.

Neat for the rear person to get out, but the seat doesn't slide back automatically. So make sure you have the driver's seat programmed to get it back where it belongs if someone pushes that button.

I have an '03 and I only have the lever on the passenger side, but it doesn't have a button.

I have the same year, and both my seats go forward and back automatically when you pull the lever on the side to retract the back part of the seat.

The motor in the seat might be blown out already, or it could be one of the switches. There's a whole bunch of madness going on down there.

All, any update on this thread? I have a 2004 coupe and my passenger seat stopped moving forward automatically when either the lever on the back of the seat is pulled by a rear seat passenger or when the seat back is folded forward manually. I'm guessing a switch is at fault here but would appreciate any insights from anyone who has experienced a similar problem and fixed it.

It will slide back automatically if the first person in the passenger side goes in the back and then hits the button before anything else. I think.

Basically, it does it but the exact procedure is sensitive.
