Hmmm headlights

I recently decided to change up the paint job on my 04 gray g. Im goin with a nice bright red for the body. Black spoiler, mirrors, door handle, possibly black hood or maybe a nice carbon fiber hood, and the rims I'm either gnna keep the stock rims but paint them all black with nice red brake covers so it pops alil or get the axis super penta rims with a red stripe. But now this is where I'm stymied n look for some direction from the fellow ppl at g35driver

Idk if I should smoke the headlight or get these bad boys

http://www.carid.com/2004-infiniti-g35-headlights/spyder-ccfl-halo-led-projector-headlights-315120.html

And if anyone chooses the black projectors do yu have any suggestions on the brand or any comments on the ones in the link?

Also should I smoke the tail lights or keep them the way they are? I'm afraid they will clash with the new red on the car.

Thx

Don't smoke the lenses, its illegal because it hinders light output. I don't know about cops in your area but they are cracking down around here. Also its kinda cheesy imo.

Those headlights aren't terrible in black but they still look a bit over the top. I guess the halos and the leds together just make it too busy. If you like them, then grab those from strafe for a good price.

OR you could be a man and get a nice set of 06-07 projectors in the oven to pop them open and paint the bezels black yourself. OR you could be really pro and even take some 03-05 do a custom projector retrofit, paint the bezels black, and pack the side light strip with leds to give a nice glow if you still want that side strip.

Thx guys.

N UCIMAplaya I kno they're illegal that's one of the reasons why debating but if I smoke them it would really go with the new paint job.

Unfortunaelty I'm not pro or man enough lmao. I really dnt have the time to do that myself. My job is really demanding and has crazy hours. And with the spare time I have I really dnt feel like getting out of bed lol

I know the feeling. I have been trying to get around to installing my carpc into my car for the last year. I made a custom video converter and tapped the wires for the factory nav screen to toggle between factory and a vga input that is completely custom and has a high enough resolution to be useful. I haven't seen anyone else do it like this and I have been wanting to show everyone how but I haven't found time to finish the job.

Personally I don't think any aftermarket headlights come close to looking as nice as the 06+ OEM projectors. I'd stick with OEM projectors, they are likely better quality too.

How can I get them black using the oven method?

You get them open, by heating up the sealant. Then you paint it yourself.
