Too much Rasp?

I installed Ichiba Test pipes w/ resonators. I think its too raspy for me. What causes rasp?
The drivetrain is otherwise stock. Help me out with a way to get the rasp to go away.

Anytime the OEM cats are removed, you will be subject to "rasp". I take the term "rasp" a little loosley intil I see actual clips or hear it in person.

you're running full stock exhaust with just tp's? you're bound to have some amount of rasp switching to tp's, hard to tell how raspy it is without clips though...

Sounds normal with test pipes on the OEM exhaust. Mic quality is questionable though and sensitive.

There is a sound which comes on when the revs fall with no throttle at around 2-3k RPM. That's the infamous test pipe "hiss" which is expected. I had that sound with resonated test pipes and X02. I completely eliminated with the magnaflow x-pipe.

You think an aftermarket Y pipe will help?

If the sound is bothering you that bad, you have a few choices.

1. Put the stock cats back on
2. Motordyne XYZ pipe with resonator attachment
3. Motordyne ART pipes
4. Combination of 2 & 3
5. HFC's

I believe it has something to do with our motors. Think of it this way mustangs for example that are catless don't seem to have rasp. At least my buddies doesn't.
