WTF, stock jack sucks
I got a nail in my tire yesterday and had to change to my spare. When I was lifting the car, my stock jack started TO BEND! Luckly I wasn't too far from my house and had my friend pick up my floor jack. I wonder if infiniti would replace it. Are there any aftermarket scissor jacks that can hold up a freaking car? I'm just pissed that I almost could have gotton hurt.

I totally agree with you.....the jack supplied should be able to support the car safely.....if you are on the slightest incline, the jack will start to bend when opened more than half way.......
They are probably designed to work on "flat ground applications" only...... I would check the manual and see if there are any disclaimers regarding the use of the jack....
Infiniti should replace the jack if you used it according to the manual....
IMO any jack supplied should be overkill to prevent any further problems/law suits for unnecessary injuries.....

They are reducing weight by making them out of light-weight metal. Unfortunately this makes them rather soft and pliable. I haven't had to use mine yet (knock on wood), but the jack for my 300ZX was similar and it had to used vertically.
Take it back to the dealer and have them replace it. They shouldn't question this since it deals with safety. But that's common sense talking, not the dealership.

The supplied jacks aren't much for sure. They're meant for very limited use, and only in an emergency.
As Kenchan says, you must be on level ground and position the jack properly. Chocking the other 3 wheels is a must to eliminate any movement. A sturdy pad for under the jack is necessary too if on soft ground.
