Dealership says "no" way to set illumination delay

I recently had the Auto-Innovatio ST800 pushbutton, remote start aftermarket accessory added to my 2006 6MT. It's very nice...very nice, indeed. In fact, it's pretty amazing.

However, in order for the ST800 to control the headlamp illumination delay, the Infiniti dealer has to tweak the BCM headlamp illumination delay setting (changing it to Mode 2, I believe, for "off" aka "no delay").

That seemed like a fairly straight-forward proposition. Pretty reasonable, no? However, I called my local dealer today, and was told that this setting cannot be changed on the 2006 G35.

Aaahragh?

Can this be right?? I've searched this forum for anything specific to BCM and 2006. I'm already very familiar with the BCM Customization Chart that's been posted and re-posted and discussed again and again, herein...HOWEVER, I see that there's no date or model years listed on the chart. So, I have to wonder if the dealer knows of what he speaks when he says this can't be done on a 2006.

Seems fishy to me that this particular BCM customization option that applied to earlier years would no longer apply to later years....but hey, it could happen.

On the other hand, the dealer could be F.O.S.

Perhaps I should go to the Nissan dealer....(there's only one Infiniti dealer in town).

Your thoughts?

Someone there is FOS cause i had my local dealer adjust my 07 to Mode4 (insensitive) a few years back. And they did it for free after just asking nicely. All the tech does is connect the BCM handheld and change it. I printed out the actual chart from the service manual to show them.

Dealer says "no." I say "B.S."

Thanks. That's precisely the confirmation I was hoping for. I could not imagine that they were really correct in saying it wasn't possible on a 2006 6MT.

I'll drop by with the chart in hand, and ask them to do it while I wait.I might even start with the service manager, just to let him/her know that the staff is ignorant.

Just print out pages LT-16 and 17. Pages should be identical between 06-07 models.
