K guys, no there haven't been any yet, but if the Admin would be so kind as to make this the offical sticky for 6MT sightings, then we can help each other know/track/estimate when its time to head out to our own dealers. As we all know Dec 28th marks the realease to dealers from the shipping ports as reported by a distribution specialists at NISSAN USA (who happens to be my close friend), so there is no B.S. on my part. And the more I hear from him, the more I will post for you guys so you can get an idea of when your car might be on your dealers lot. And whatever you guys hear or SEE, you can post in here and let us know. How's that sound?

 

Grubbs Infiniti in Texas, told me that they used a special private truck so they can get the cars by monday. I will know for sure monday, because then they will ship the car to me on tuesday. Ill post again monday morning with any updates i got.

 

that's funny. i'm currently in dallas for the holidays ... and you're telling me Grubbs will have the 6MT before my phoenix dealer does? i wonder if its worth buying it here and driving it to phoenix ... probably not.

Symalik...as much as I want you to have your car, I doubt GRUBBS will get them tomorrow. What makes them so special that they could get a special truck and ship them to their dealership before others, and or even breaking the DEC 28th date in which Gee Im Fast stated? As of right now GRUBBS has lots of AT 2005 G35C, I mean LOTS!!!, I know they might be big, but I'm sure they can't be breaking any of Infiniti's rules.

As for me, I think that there is a strong chance that I will be getting my vehicle before the year end, approx JAN. 31st if all goes well. If Gee Im Fast statement is true, it would only take 1-2 days to get from LA to the SF area, then another day to get the car ready to drive off the lot. So that would put it around the 31st!!...I hope so

 

but then what makes you think that Gee Im Fast is correct?? i dont know. i turst my dealer over him (no offense to Gee or his close friend), but once again, will let you know for sure tomorrow

 

A salesman at Beaverton (Oregon) Infiniti last week told me that they were receiving just one 6MT with their January allocation, but he didn't know when it would arrive.

"We will have 2 truck loads of sold 6mt sedan and coupes due on Monday (the 27th) but we paid extra to have them direct shipped here. Most of our customers needed them for the tax write off this year."

Well then, that's a special case isn't it. As far as the release date of the 28th, that still holds, and comes from corporate words....not mine. But also don't forget, just because the 28th marks the realease date for starting to ship these bad boys out...you might not be able to touch any of the 6MT coupes UNTIL they are ALL accounted for and placed in inventory (documented, and checked for shipping damages) which translates to more than 1 to 2 days until you really get your car wunautica.

HAHAHA, that sums up what I've been thinking this whole time. I'll believe it when I see it.

"Powerdealers" like Grubbs always like to think they are the do-all die-all but in reality they're just a car dealership who's customers have to wait just like everyone else.

The facts are the facts, the cars get here when they get here. "But Grubbs told me they had a rocket truck that turns invisible and goes 200mph and will get me MY car TOMORROW!" These people are CAR SALESMEN, they tell you what they know you want to hear, which sadly is not always the truth, don't think otherwise.

but what good is a salesman when the car is already sold... people who ordered cars in jun or july, no matter what there buyin the car. so the sales people dont really have to BS the people who already have the car under there name. im not gonna say i dont want the car if its coming 1 week later, so there really is no point for them to lie to me.

on second note, it doesnt matter to me, since i cant get the car till another week, due to me being in illinois and the car being in texas, so im not even gonna argue about the dec 28th date, cuz no matter what, i get the car next year. but i am signing the papers tomorrow

grubbs posted some pictures of the 6mt interior and said they arrived at their dealership today.

 

Nope...those pictures have always been there...and they are of the automatic G interior, and the stick shift you see there is the interior of an 04.
