I found a good deal on v1 pipes. What are the actual differences? the cost im getting them for is $325 .. seems like a great price, but if i had to pay 540 for v2 and it is worth it i will.

The v2s were made to accommodate the AT's larger transmission pan. Some of the v1s, due in cause by MD's manufacturer inconsistencies, had fitment problems with the resonators hitting the pan. Some v2s still have had fitment problems, but Tony has completely fixed the problem in the v2.1s with an extra 1/2"+ of clearance. The v2 also had the option to have a ceramic coating for heat reduction in addition to the newly sized resonator. There is no change in power curve between the versions, as per Tony.
If you have an MT, get the v1s, if you have an AT, grab v2s so you don't have to worry about fitment problems. I guess it should be noted that some v1s did fit ATs - luck of the draw.

The newest V2.2's do indeed have tabs for the stock cat mount off the transmission.
