Looks like just a bulb lighting up the entire outer circle. I'd have to see it in person or pics with a better camera. Basically I'm assuming this looks like an LED Ring (the oem light) plus a round circle lit up, instead of two LED rings like the G37.

The link in the second post is a more clean look, but looks pretty labor intensive.

^ That's what I'm thinking as well. I find it highly unlikely that simply rewiring the lights achieves the same dual rings look that G2FLIP4 and others have put so much work into.

I'm pretty sure the turn signal is a bulb and not a ring. As far as the JDM, I think you're missing the point of having four round lights on at night.

Not by any means does it give the 4 "ring" look... but then again, the op was asking about having all 4 lights on, not 4 distinctive rings... hence my reply.

If you actually want 4 distinct rings, then no, the method I posted is not what you want.

Just wanting to clear this up.

Clip the old harness out and remove the bulb socket.

Wire the turn signal part of the bulb back in, and use the side socket for power to the 2nd filiment...

Total cost was less than $20 for 2 sockets and the bulbs.
I just got my G back from the body shop with a new OEM front lip from Strafe. I would love to start this project over the Xmas break.
Any details on where I can purchase the parts necessary?

You should be able to get these parts from your local Napa store...

Also, the new harness will not be an exact match for the "keying" when you insert it to the taillight. It will fit, and seal, but it's not a direct match.

Can you take some better pics of the rear lights and the DIY?

Can you clarify what you mean.
If I just rewire without a new harness, the turn signal bulb will be much brighter then the LED ring...unless I replace the turn signal bulb with a bulb of less wattage, I'm guessing. That would also mean no rear turn signal.

Could do it that way, but it's more complicated.

You would need a constant on power source, and then a relay system to break the contacts when the turn signal is on... ( IE: the bulb would be on a NC ( normally closed ) contact, then the contacts would open to shut the bulb off )...
