follow up on my uneven exhaust tips problem

went to metro infiniti today, the technician there told me it's very normal they had a quite a few ppl had the same problem came to them, he told me he can try to bend and adjust the holding brackets that hold each side of the exhuast for me, i wanted them to order a new exhaust but he told they have to get permission from inifiniti for the replacement because technically there is nothing wrong with my exhaust. i made an appointment for next week to have him working on my exhaust. will they do more damage to my exhaust by bending the bracket? my options are let them try to adjust the exhaust, fight with them until they order a new one for replacement(i think it's highly unlikely) and just forget about it since it's quite common and not very noticeable. what should i do?

It is very unlikely that they will give you a new exhaust. If it bothers you that much then have them adjust it a little. They probably wont break anything.

MAte, there is nothing wrong with your exhaust. Don't forget they move when you accelerate anyway..

I have the same exact problem on my coupe. I told the dealer (Riverside) and they said the brackets are fixed in place and can not be adjusted. I have not looked under there yet to make sure, but its been a while and I kinda dont notice it anymore.

I think that I may have the answer to this problem. It's a "quick-fix" and it'll be totally up to you if you should decide to go this way. PM me, and I'll try to provide some detailed pics on how I cured mine.

The initial problem that I had was, if you adjust the left side, the right side would move, and vise-versa. You would almost have to be a mathematical genius to conclude their diversity. Like I said, PM me, and I'll try to explain/show what eventually fixed my problem on this particular issue.

Think of it as your nuts....they never dangle evenly....so for those who say "my car has *****" and people ask for proof...just showem the left hangs lower than the right
