OB v. DG

I'll post pictures of both so you can see which one you look better then I'll share my 0.02
OB
DG
IMO, I think DG would be better. All blacked out just isn't that great on the G. Takes away the "status" of the car, in a way. Some may disagree with me though. I just think the contrast of the grey and black on DG is just so sexy.

If you end up getting DG, here's a good thread to read before you decide to tint the taillights and ask questions..
Dark grey, tinted tail lights, and black rims G35 coupe?

I gathered what I needed from that thread, and saw what it looked like. Now I'm just gathering the opinions of others.

I love DG in the G35 Coupe.... it looks so awesome at night in particular. I remember going to test drive a G at night when I was first looking at new cars, and the dealership that I went to was frickin huge. They had like 100 G35's in stock and they were all parked in this one giant fenced in lot, and had the full range of colors available to view and test. The Diamond Graphite stood out head and shoulders above the rest to me at night. DG is also a pretty easy color to keep "clean looking", meaning that it doesn't look filthy with just a little dirt on it. Black cars are really bad in that regard... but at the same time, black cars, when perfectly clean, look amazing in daylight. The only bad thing about DG is that it's probably one of the most common colors for G's, both in sedans and coupes.. so you won't necessarily be unique. This is where the '03/'04 Brembo brakes come in, and help you stand out a bit from the rest of auto-G's and newer G's out there.
This is why I got a DG coupe when I bought mine... for me, there was never a single ounce of doubt or concern about what color to get.

Considered leaving the taillights as is and getting rims in a finish that actually show off it's details?
Personally I think black anything just hides everything. But if you were to go this route, go DG, Contrast > Blending
Oh and by the way, everybody I know that owns a black car, they all regret it and never go back. Keeping it clean and avoiding swirl marks is next to impossible. A LOT of effort needs to be put into the paint if you want it to look good.
