New owner: Question about driving position

Hello. I just picked up an 05 ivory pearl. Having come from BMW's (e46 330ci ZHP, e36 M3), this is my first Infiniti. My question is it seems as if the driving position is not straight on to the steering column and dash. Is this normal for this car? It feels as if I am slightly off center with my 'compass point' at little to the left.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hey, first of all, welcome to Driver. I'm sure you'll enjoy it here, there are a ton of helpful people that will be more than willing to help you with any questions. Ivory Pearl represent!

As for your question, it SHOULD be straight onto the steering column and dash. I have never driven a BMW as a daily driver, so I would not know if it is different there than it is on the G.

The only problem that I can think of is that the previous owner may have potentially removed the seat and did not align it correctly when putting it back.

I would say that would be difficult to screw it up putting it back since there are pins on the seat rails which have to slot into the floor of the car.
