My first Autocross! (photos)

Hey everyone, my company has an Autocross club and they held one on Dec 26th at an airport near Monterey, CA. It was my first event and it was awesome! I hit a few cones the first couple of runs, but then I did much better and improved my time by about 4.5 seconds, down near the times that some Vettes were running! There was an awesome 911 GT2 w/ Hoosier racing tires and a loud friggin' exhaust, and a new C6 Corvette.

I will definitely be back soon.

Carrera GT3 is going to be mine once I graduate med school. Those things are sooooo nice.

How were the Brembos in autocross? Were they decent at least for fade?

Great photos! That GT2 looks real mean, and it sounds like you had a good time.

So now you're hooked? =)

The Brembo's were fine. the course was pretty short and only took ~63 seconds to complete. I realized that I was not stomping on the brakes as hard as I should have. I could have gone into the slalom faster but I was trying to get a clean run w/out hitting any cones so I didn't go all-out. On my first run, one of the Porsche drivers sat in w/ me and when I came around a corner and gunned it, my tail was sliding out and I thought I had it, but then all of a sudden it came way out and I hit a cone. He told me what to do to help correct it.
