sellers discretion i know...but u cant trust anyone especially dudes u dont know...op obviously didnt trust the guy thats why they went to a trip to the dealership to get the car inspected...best thing op should do is confront the private seller and confront that guy about the car...i doubt the op even gets his money back from the dealership since they said that " everything checked out fine " when they did the 150 point inspection...they have everything in paper and can prove their case on this particular matter...maybe the op should just take the private seller to small claims court or something and prove his case there since he's already got a lawyer involved...

so op wants to return the car or something? also does seller have to disclose anything that wasnt asked about? meaning if buyer didnt ask if seller installed a supercharger, then seller doesnt really HAVE to mention it?

But Infiniti was wrong on several parts of the inspection and it can be proved so their documentation is wrong. The hope was to return it and have all of the fees I had to go through paid for, but I am getting all of my proof together for when I confront him. I didn't exactly trust seller to disclose everything so I hoped Infiniti would take care of that, but they were useless.

does anyone know if inifinitis inspections guarantees anything (in writing) if you buy the car not sold by them?

I wasn't sure if they guarantee anything, but their uselessness may have me out 3,000 or more, so I am hoping they will do something for me before they get a billion bad reviews.

On a side note, what do you think the effects on the engine from the supercharger will be? I am about to have valve covers and timing chain cover replaced as well as redoing the install of the oil drain back plug which was screwed up when supercharger was uninstalled. I know these are very strong engines, I am at 60,000 miles and he only had car for 30,000 miles. I am hoping even with supercharger being on before that my engine could still have 100,000 miles left or so in it. Any feedback?

Effects on engine all depend on how well it was tuned after supercharger installed and what boost it was running.

Improper tune on engine could lead to excessive piston and ring wear/damage.
Vortech kits in general left stock using full kit (not Tuner) run rich from factory.

Compression check may also be a suggestion if in doubt.

Okay, how much would a compression check be? What all would it check?

Compression check should not be more than a 1 hour service fee.

Compression check will reveal how well the piston rings are sealing against cylinder walls, assuming no valve seat leakage. Your experiencing valve cover and timing chain cover leaks which is an indication of possible Blow-By, meaning leakage past piston rings.

Get the inspection sheet and lake it to a lawyer and just see what they can do about improper inspection practices
