So I lifted my car up and revealed that my tunnel stay assembly (rear cross member piece) is bent and snapped in half....its a long story....but anyways. I took it off and am in need of a new one. Questions:
-This may sound dumb but do i need the piece to drive? one mechanic told me no, another said yes or else your body would shift and you could shatter windows...
-Does anyone know of a place that sells them for cheaper then infiniti? they want $234. i already called Nissan and they have no interchangeable parts that would work.

Try using this logical thought process, would Nissan spend the $$ on a crossmember if it wasn't needed?? It's there for a reason, buy a new/used on and put it back on...Gary
