03 Coupe 6mt with 177K and the engine still running strong. Couple minor fixes here and there (i.e. brakes, rotors, spark plugs, belts, cat)...all routine maintenance if you ask me. Other than that, seems this car will a little while (knock on wood).

What they do this time? Didn't tighten the filter, forget the oil cap, or loose drain plug?

I think they've done all that at least once LOL I had a really bad engine tick. Long story short had the oil pan pulled and had many tiny little pieces of metal shavings. Mechanic told me he had seen this before and it was pretty much a hall mark of the cam journals being excessively worn due to consistently low oil levels or something like that. I never went more than 3750 between changes, BUT I did go to Jiffy Lube. So I suspect they may have only filled up 4.5 quarts. If you look in the FSM you have to wait at least 10min to accurately gauge how much oil is in the crankcase. Anyway... new engine for me and never returning to Jiffy Lube

2003 G35 Coupe 5MT, just crossed 120k and still running strong. Just make sure to change all the fluids on time and the VQ engines will last you a well over 200k
