IP On!?

Hey guys I'm looking to Powder Coat my wheels, I want to do Lime Green, or Gold.
Gold is played out to be honest.
I saw some sick looking white on lime green wheels photos very nice!
I also saw some on gold as well very nice!

What you guys think? Just taking up opinions.
I know most people are going to tell me go with what I like, but hey it doesn't hurt to take opinions!

Thanks
-Bill

Hey Bill,

I got a IP myself, I think personally that grey/gun metal wheels look the best on our cars. Lime green wheels might look cool, but if I had them, I'd get over them after a week or so. Gold wheels are nice, but I still think grey/gun metal wheels look the best. I'll post a picture of a IP with somewhat grey wheels, and I think it looks really good. But like you said, go with what you like. I'm sure you can pull the lime green/gold wheels off.

Here's the picture I was talking about.

Wow that looks VERY nice, they look expensive lol! Think I might go with a gunmetal color to be honest.
Thanks a ton!

Haha yeah, those are Work VS-XX's. Only about $900 each wheel. Be sure to post pictures of yours if you end up doing it!

My wheels are black right now and Ive always wanted to do bronze/gold to see how it looks.

I dont think its played out.. it just depends on the set up youre working with.

Gold wheels on a white car is pretty played out. That's why I wanted to go with something different just don't want to regret it!

Which wheels do you have? OEM or aftermarket?

Mine are gloss black right now, oem 19" rays. I obviously think it looks great...and it coordinates with some of the other pieces with my car. I've considered a gold wheel, maybe with a polished lip, as well. Other than that I think a shiny fully polished/chrome wheel looks good on the IP.

I'll just chime in to say, that in order to rock lime green rims, your car would have to be fairly tricked out. What I'm saying is that no-one wants to see a stock g35 with lime green rims. Now, if your car has an aggressive stance, maybe some engine work done, body work, etc.. it could work.

-I have no idea what ops current car looks like though.

That reminds me. To the OP, IMO only go gold if your wheels have some sort of polished lip. The wheels that I've seen that are straight gold just don't look nice compared to those with lips. But that's just me. Do what feels right to you!

I gotta chime in and say Gold wheels on a white car is timeless and never played out to me. The only thing that is played out currently are ANY color car with black wheels and silver/polish lip. It looks good in many cases, but still pretty overdone.

I really like IP with gold rims, something about it is pure sex and class.
