Hey guess I I have a trunk listed in the marketplace, and I also have it on Craigslist. So I get an email on Craigslist from someone saying he wants to buy it. So I tell him to txt me and I give him my number. I check my email and he says he can't call me cuz he is deaf and what he wants to do is send me a check via mail. And then he will have his mover pick it up? Kinda weird idk? Is this scam or is this a real deaf guy that needs a g35 trunk.......weird

 

hmm see if he can paypal you.

 

SCAM.... All of the "mover pick ups" are scams.

Tell him to have his mover come pick it up with cash in hand

 

or cash the check before the "movers" come pick it up.

I'd steer clear of that situation. If he wants the trunk, make him jump through the hoops...not you.

 

Meet with his "mover" and then set their asses up with the 5-0!!! Help get another scammer off the skreets!!!

 

Trust your instincts. If it walks like a duck and quacks like one, it probably is.
If you are thinking that it is a scam and asking other people what they think, it probably is. I would only accept checks from people that I know.

 

Not everyone has Paypal accounts, I don't trust them with my account information. Make it a cash deal or nothing....Gary

^^ for some reason the evil in me laughed at that...yea yea i know im an a$$hole...and yea dont think i would go for that as everyone else has said.

 

just let him know that you are going to wait for the check to clear & then you'll arrange pick up options...If he wants to insist on a check payment, then he has no choice but to wait the two weeks for it to legitimately clear.
