I want to switch out my AT shift **** in my '03 coupe to the Y50/M45 one, but I know you cant do it unless you have a shift boot to attach to it, like the '05 and up coupes do. I've seen the DIY on switching out the '03 shift plate to the FX one.

SOOOO with that being said, could I replace the stock shift plate to the FX shift plate with the shift boot and then fit the Y50 **** on top of that? Does the FX shift plate part include the boot too? In my head, this would work, but I dont want a little project to turn into a nightmare just bc I THOUGHT it could work.

Mods can move this to the Interior section if you want, just seems like no one frequents that section of the forum anymore so I posted here haha
