This will be a progression thread of sorts.

Here is the "semi" progression" thread where I ask for help on what I was going to do to my car.

Here is my car as of 1/29/2012 (better pics to come)


Tomorrow I will be getting window tints. I will probably do 20%.

Also, I want to thank everyone who has helped me thus far, and thank those of you in advance who will help me in the future

What did you end up using? Nite Shade and plasti-dip? Turned out looking really good!

 

Yeah I used nite shade and plasti dip, and I have to admit for a temporary fix for the look I want, I couldn't be happier.

 

More pics to come . Today I'm going to do window tints. I was originally going to do 5% but I think I might just do 20. I want it dark enough that it's hard to see inside but not dark enough that I can't see a night lol.

I also plan on doing some debadging soon. Not sure what I will debadge, but I definitely want to look into replacing the Infiniti symbol in the rear with a batman logo

 

Not a fan of the "murdered out" look, nor of your future batman emblem.

 

Which is why it's my car and not yours.

Relax, I never said you should mod it to my liking. I don't care what you do to your car, all I said was its not my taste. Believe me, others will be much more harsh. But if you can't any criticism, dont lost pics of your car on a public forum.

In my opinion, I would leave the Mt. Fuji logo and debadge everything else. Would look good since you have a spoiler.

As for the batman symbol, I wouldn't do it. I saw a video on YouTube and he got flamed by everyone. It's a G35, not the bat mobile lol.

As for the tints, a friend of mine has 5% all around and I have to admit it is pretty hard to see out of the windows.

But hey, this is mine and Silencer_0's constructive criticism.

Other than that, very nice G!! Cannot wait to see your future mods! I think I got bit by the mod bug again...

Trust me, other members can be ruthless lol. Silencer is actually very helpful on here. I had some questions about HFC's vs TP's vs ART pipes a while back and Silencer was extremely patient and helpful!

I personally kinda like the murdered out look but a guy that parks in my parking deck at work has the batman symbol on his G and I think it looks retarded lol. Just my opinion tho

 

Oh yea, I would suggest 20% tint all around! I was also worried about seeing at night and I didn't want to go so dark that it would be obvious to cops that I was darker than the legal limit in GA. I went with 20% all around and a quarter of the windshield down and I think it's perfect. You can't see inside the car clearly during the day and you can't see in at all when its dark but you can still see out fine

 

I have 20% tint on mine. Legal limit is 35% where im at lol.

 

Just got back from the tinting shop. Decided to do 5 all around (obviously except for the windshield). I really liked the look of it, and figured it was worth the risk. Thankfully here in jersey, I'd only get in trouble for the front two, since you can have w.e you want in the rear, but I got G, and I want to enjoy it . Pics tomorrow (it's dark out)

as for the little debacle with Silencer, it's not that I can't take constructive criticism, but why leave a comment like that? I get it if it's not your style, and I respect that, but would you walk into a clothing store just to tell the manager the clothes here are bad and suck? (pardon my corny analogy). That's all. I'm not offended, I just didn't think that was needed. There's a difference between constructive criticism, and bashing and putting down someone's taste. Sorry if I got the wrong impression from yours.

I never bashed or put down your taste, I simply said I wasn't a fan of it. Your analogy could go the other way too for the people complimenting your car, lol. But whatever.

Have you considered only removing the "G35" on the trunk and leaving the Mt. Fuji and INFINITI? I, and a couple others have it like that on our aftermarket trunks.
