Flickering HID's

Hey guys. I was driving home today and i realized when i pulled up behind someone that my lights were flickering. so i turned them on and it stopped and they work fine.
On any other setting Off, or auto they flicker like strobe lights and you can here a clicking coming from the box. I don't know anything about HID's or what brand they are, they were on the car when i bought them and i don't have contact with the seller.

If anyone could shed some light on the situation that would be awesome!
Thank you

It happens with both headlights at the same time? I'm assuming it an electrical problem.

I noticed mine doing it a couple hours after a wash. Did you wash it recently or was it raining?

I had this happen with halogens on a Civic I had years ago and it turned out to be an alternator related issue. I replaced that and the strobing went away.

Hi, my G was doing the same thing and then the bulb went out so I replaced it. Turned out it wasn't the bulb after all but the ballist.
It was actually not too expensive. Just a little bit of a pain to get too.
