Installed plenum... slight problem?

I just installed a kinetix v4 plenum. The problem i'm having now is that I no longer hear my cold air intake anymore? The intake is a nismo intake. It use to whistle pretty loud at around 3800-4k RPM. But now, it does absolutely nothing. I'm pretty sure I plugged everything back in right. I'm getting no error/warning lights and the car runs perfectly fine. Nice and smooth. I hear a new growling sound from the plenum, but the CAI is still yet to be heard. What can cause the intake to lose it's whistle?

The only prossible problem I can think of is that when I removed the throttle body, I was not paying attention to the orientation of the gasket. So I kind of guessed at how it should be. I dont think that would cause that big of a difference since it seemed pretty symmetrical. Just one side had an extra tab I think compared to the other sides.

Any help, please let me know. Thanks.

Do I have to wait until the ECU adapts before I start hearing the whistle again? I remember when I first installed the intake i didnt hear it until later..

You don't want to hear the whistle right. Just the loud throaty WOOONG when accellerating.

If the plenum were installed incorrectly, you'd have an idle problem and a stumble, and eventually a check engine light, so it's prolly ok.

As far as an ECU reset, I did mine when I installed my plenum but you don't have to since it will relearn the new air/fuel quickly. I won't hurt to do it tho.

Im still curious as to why it happened tho? Its as if it wasnt sucking in a lot of air anymore or something..
