Chipped Bumper...any ideas to fix?

So I got to close to a parking curb the other day and chipped my Inven bumper. I dont really want to deal with a bodyshop if I dont have to. Tried to touch up with paint, but didnt come out too well. Any ideas how to fix it on my own? Or should I leave this one to the pros?

Thanks

What about adding some canards, or a decal or something to cover it...any ideas? The damage is purely cosmetic, nothing structural. Would hiding it be a bad idea?

Another idea I was thinking about...anyone see a front lip like the type on a RWB porsche? Looks relatively simple, but dont want to be a poser or anything.

Any help is much appreciated...makes me sick to see such a beautiful bumper with the chips/cracks!

Covering scratches/dents/chips/etc with stickers is generally frowned upon here. All I'm saying is that you will get flamed..

What was the bumper made of? I don't think I'd bother with anything other then poly urethane for a front bumper/lip, too easy to damage otherwise.

Don't know much about repairs myself though. sorry.

Urethane is generally un-repairable. You might be able to use epoxy or something on it. Sand it all down and repaint the whole thing....but it'll obviously cost ya a pretty penny.

I'm gonna have to agree with Gary on this one. My front bumper is shot, too. I'm gonna get it replaced here pretty soon. I'm sure many others arpund here will chime in and praise aftermarket products, I don't think so. Don't want shoddy products on my car.

It's already an aftermarket part dude. Read "Inven" bumper.

As stated above, urethane products itself is going to need body work at a shop If you want it done right.

Oh and the front lip on the porsche looks like the garden edging from homedepot. Friends civic just got one slapped on and it's exactly like it, especially the white dots which should be the part to attach on the bumper
