Thank you, btw this was my first post here & shortly thereafter I found out there's an "introduce yourself" thread, so I asked almost the same question there... Hope this doesn't confuse anyone. My real curiosity is whether or not some 06-07 Sport models are like mine, without the cool bumper/ sideskirts

Don't forget to account for previous owners. They could have swapped bumpers, removed sideskirts, dealership could have removed them before selling to original owner, could have had an accident and replaced with non sport stuff, etc. The VIN is the bottom line and like I mentioned before, the numbers don't lie. Insurance companies use VINs for a reason, it tells the what the car came from the factory with. Hope that helps.

I'd say it is a Sports package. The side skirts are the Sports side skirts and the orange stitching is the easiest give away. I think the owner probably bought an aftermarket front bumper and just bought a cheap non-sport bumper to put things back together.

That in particular is really hard for me to tell- plus it's black making it all the more "androgenous". Even more confusing is what I've heard about the "Aero" package- which someone explained is separate from the Sport setup, in that it includes different bumper, sideskirts and that hideous rear wing I'm so glad mine doesn't have... Sooo, is mine in fact a 6MT G35 Sport WITHOUT the Aero package, explaining the absence of the cooler front bumper, possibly different sideskirts and the ironing board for the trunk lid? Also, before you ask, yes the 1988 Civic in the background is fully equipped with cassette player, interior-matched blue window cranks and the luxury package: cloth seats, a dome light and actual carpet! No power steering.
isn't this the G that was just for sale in the marketplace?

Those look like the Sport side skirts. Previous owner probably got into a fender bender and replaced the front bumper with the standard bumper.

Also, since this in an older thread, I'd like to point out that the 06-07 Sport front bumper does NOT have a lip. There was an aero lip available for the 03-05 (& 06-07 non-sport) bumpers. The openings are shaped differently, more angular if that makes sense.

The Aero package was indeed a separate option, however the 06-07 spoiler is not an ironing board.

The linked sticky thread has pictures, I haven't looked in a while, so don't know if it has dead picture links though. Here's mine for quick reference.

Looks like it, yes. Do you have the manual transmission? It appears to not have come with the Aero package as well. Like has been posted a few times you can use the VIN to determine what model/packages your car came with new.

A 2006 6MT has the sport suspension package. There were only 3 options for a 2006 6MT, premium package (Bose stereo and sun roof), rear active steering (RAS, look at the rear axle right next to the muffler, does it have a rack and pinion looking device attached to the subframe? If so then you have RAS), and aero package which is the rear spoiler.

Edit: SUN SUN SUN! Do you hear me voice to text!

Coupe, Premium package, sport suspension
So that list is interesting. I have the intelligent key but no entry/exit assist on my 5AT. My previous sedanX had it and I miss it. I wonder if the intelligent key could be had as a dealer add on if the car didn't didn't have the package from the factory. Or maybe I have it but it's broken. Or turned off and in spite of my best efforts I couldn't figure out how to turn it on.
