HELP! Failed Smog
I failed smog the other day for some reason that I cannot figure out. I had an SES for the code P1273 while I had on the MD ART Pipes. I took off the pipes and reset the ECU and the code hasn't come back. The car may have been cold, since I had to leave it at the smog shop while another person got smoged first. I have an MREV2, 5/16 plenum spacer, and a Z Tube. My exhaust is completely stock now. I have driven about 300+ miles since taking off the test pipes and haven't gotten and SES light back. What could be going on!? Any help is appreciated! I attached the smog report from the failure.
your not failing by much.. just beat the car a bit it'll bring your hcs down by burning off carbon. you can also do a tune up if you havent done one in a while and i wouldnt change your sensor unless you get a code for the sensor or if you hook a scan tool up to it and see its not responding, or its reading incorrectly. whats the mileage on your car? if your close to an oil change do that as well.

just an update guys, i got it to pass, just barely... turns out it was because my cats are a bit dented from being so low. he told me i will probably have to get new cats for my next smog. i am just gonna put my art pipes back in and have the cats sit until the next smog. thanks for all the suggestions guys.
For future smogs, just take it to some ghetto shop where every car passes. I've seen p.o.s. cars blowing plumes of smoke during a smog in some Santa Ana shops and thing still passes. All the shop wants is its $$$.
Go to Corner 3 Garage in Lake Forest, the mechanic Steve was a Nissan Master Tech and knows our cars inside out. I wouldn't go to Carzone, had a horrible experience there.
Question... My check engine light is on. I know there's a way to pass smog ( i did it before but forgot the exact steps) i know i need to disconnect the battery, reconnect it and then drive between a certain mph and for a certain amount of time... Anyone know the details regarding this???
