How Long Your Brake Lasts??

Mine died on 1/1/05. I bought my car on 11/11/03 and it's 04'model.
Anyways, I got about 22,000 miles from the stock brake.
It's non-bremo. Do you guys think it's reasonable mileage for our brake?
Or did I do something wrong to my car..?
How many mileage you guys get from the stock brake?

I had my front rotors and pads replaced, and my rear rotors resurfaced and new pads installed at 19,500 miles.......
I think you should expect to replace them again before the 36,000 mile warranty expires.....

Depending on peoples' driving habits, they are sometimes replaced alot sooner.....

Do the brembo brakes require a special brake pad? Can it be replaced at a Midas?

You don't take a car of this caliber to Midas.

I've read that there are some people who like and dislike Hawks. Do they produce a lot of brake dust?

I just had my front rotors and pads replaced under warranty at 12,500 mi. I was in just to put on my winter setup and asked them to checkout the brakes. Scary! My 04 G automatic is just over a year old and I do primarily city driving.

This is my first post. I live in Mississauga, Ontario Canada.

Holy cow, why not just take the car to Jiffy Lube for an oil change and to a gas station for a car wash!!

That's not bad wear for our G's soft but effective brake pads.
Mine are about half gone, and I've got about 13k miles now. I don't drive aggressively.

Blitz and others with covered pad and rotor wear- does the new car warranty cover brakes? i thought that is a "wear item".
