G35 AT Transmission Overfill?

First I wanted to thank everyone for this board. Today I just completed a Transmission and coolant fluid change.

I was VERY careful to ONLY put it what I took out. I carefully measured everything. BUT the transmission "dipstick" is registering that I have too much. It is filled to the first curve on the stick. I bought the car used, and maybe it had too much fluid in there to begin with. The car runs and shift GREAT! Would you drain some, and if so, what is the easiest way to get out a 1/2 quart? I drained the "cooler" to and I am guessing that I should take it from there. Just alot of screws to take loose to get there.

Any help would be appreciated? Just some more detail about the situation. On the dipstick the first Notch is at 1/2 inch the second is at 1 inch, than there is the "hot" area which goes to 1.5 inches, Mine is sitting at 2 inches. Would you take out 1/2 of a quart?

Is that a cold reading? It's best to check the trans fluid at normal operating temperature to be accurate. Drive the car a few miles then let it idle for a few minutes, then check the level. It should be within the low and high marks to be properly filled.
