06 Coupe trunk issue

Hello,

How do I get my trunk open? The button by the steering wheel isn't opening it, the button in the tail light isn't opening it and I can't figure out how to get my rear seat down from the cabin...

WTF!!!

I started the car and tried the button by the steering wheel and it opened. Never done that before...

Isn't that button the valet lock out option?

I get the same problem too from time to time. My trunk button in the glove isn't pressed, my remoteless key doesn't work and neither does the trunk button next to the steering wheel. I put the key in, turn the car on, but not the engine, and then it magically works. Weird

i had that problem before, you just have to pop the trunk open from the middle of the back seat (should be a red strap) then check the wiring on the trunk, my problem was that my ground signal wasnt strong enough so i re-wired it and everything worked perfect!

I have this happen to me with that illtengent key sounds like you guys are talking about. Teddy hit the nail with the hammer. It's a signal issue what else could it be? Maybe your key may need a new battery. I might look into that myself today maybe the battery will help the keys output signal , you never know!

^ but that doesn't explain why the button beside the steering wheel didn't work.

It was like turning the key in the ignition reset everything.

Sounds like a signal problem still. Might be a security for the car if the car dose no realize the keys are around it. That's just a geuss. Will see what others have to say....!?
