I know that the 05 has the rev up motor with 18+ hp and a little less torque than the 04 model but when driving these two is there any noticeable difference??? I would think maybe 18 more hp on a real heavy body wouldn't make much of a difference..

It's noticeable. The rev up has more pep. I have an 04 and love it, but after driving a rev up I wish I had one of those instead.

Not THAT much of a difference, but there is one. Here's our test at the track. We ran both countless of times and the outcome was always the same

Two near stock 6MT G's. Non Revup had an intake, spacer and exhaust, Revup had an aftermarket muffler.

I do not think there is a big difference.......but only normal because of the reported 18 hp difference. If the 04 has more torque than 05, I'm happy for I will a save few thousand $$$$$!

The rev-up is superior when it comes to performance, despite the lower torque. The VVT allows the engine to perform better at higher RPM's and has more of a response to bolt-ons.

A car length for a car that has less mods.. I'll take that as a pretty big difference.. but then it can just be the drivers as well..

You can add the lost torque and more back with a spacer/plenum on the revup.

I regret not getting the rev ups. But then I kinda dont because they burn oil...

They were racing off the line...which is all about launch. Both drivers had wheel hop which is bad.

I'd like to see a race from a roll.

I like my rev-up. Haven't come across a non rev to do a little comparison but then again mine isn't stock either....

In for more videos though!
