Question What to do next? Tune vs. MREV2

I have an 05 MT G35 and I currently have a borla exhaust and a fujita CAI. I am wanting to tune the car but I have also read a lot about the benfits of an MREV2 so I have a few questions.

First - I only have enough for one or the other at the moment, so would I be better off getting the Osiris Standard tune now and the MREV2 a little while down the road? Or starting with the MREV2 and tuning it down the road? Main reason I am asking, I have read that some people put the MREV2 on and the car doesn't run good until after a tune. If that is the case I would rather tune it first and then just update the tune later on. Any suggestions on which order to do this in?

Second - I have read that a lot of people choose to install a plenum spacer with the MREV2, however some say it is unecessary to install a plenum spacer on the rev up engine, can someone please clarify this for me?

Thanks!

Edit: I can update the tune at any time for changes so that is not an issue.

Mrev2 w. 5/16 spacer will be worth the wait of a tune. I say mrev2, 5/16 spacer, ART pipes, then tune!

Thanks for the replies! What website should I use to buy each of these things? Is motordyne my best bet for both, or could I find a spacer cheaper elsewhere?

Thanks

check the marketplace for the lowest prices for a set of used ones. and also check out the vendors to see who can give you the best price

For the REVUP motors you can't do better than MotorDynes MREV2 & 5/16" spacer worth no less than 18 RWHP. Add his ART pipes then you're ready for an Osiris tune, but not before....enjoy the ride! Here's MotorDynes number: 661-993-5111

is urs a 6spd? if its not a revup you will not see any benefits of the mrev2

edit: oops sorry didnt see "MT", yeah i would try to finish all of your breather mods first before your tune, look into art pipes, xyz pipe. spacer, mrev2.

Thanks for the help everyone
Will it pass inspection with the ART pipes? If not, how difficult/time consuming are they to get on and off?

Art pipes won't pass inspection, reinstalling OE cats takes about an hour but worth it....Gary

Seeing as how I've done both of these mods....I vote niether. Not worth the $1k in my eyes. Drop that money into a stereo or looks. That's alot of money for minimal gains....I regret it.

^100% DISagree with Jhambor

Definitely do as everyone else has said, finish your bolt-ons then get a tune, especially if you're going with Osiris. You don't want to spend $500 to get tuned then a couple months down the road spend another couple hundred to get retuned at one more mod.

I've got an '05 Rev-Up 6MT and have Motordyne's 5/16" spacer w/ISO thermal gasket and copper TB heater, MREV2, JWT Pop Charger and just ordered my ART pipes and TDX2 exhaust, CANT WAIT!

But anyways after install of the MREV2 and spacer, noticed a huge difference in the way the car repsonds, once your ECU learns a little you'll notice a little more difference then after a tune you have a brand new toy.

As for purchasing, you can easily order straight from motordyne of course, but I searched around and saved a couple bucks and ordered my MREV from "OCINFINITI" on eBay ($449 shipped, ~$500 shipped from MD) I called Motordyne after receiving it to verify authenticity bc I have heard there are some knock-offs out there that are sold as genuine Motordyne products. The spacer/gasket combo I purchased on eBay as well from "performancenissanparts" for $235 shipped, ~$310 shipped from MD...unfortunately they don't have anything listed at the moment.
