you can ask Marcus (CandlestickPark) he's seen it happen with the NRG/Richie strut bar which is the same as the ebay bar... i cant find the thread since it was posted a while back

Wes I recall seeing the same thread you saw, but I don't recall ever seeing an NRG/Richie STB bend at the track.

I can tell you that my weak 130lb self can bend the NRG bar when I rest it against my foot and press down. Can't do the same with the GT Spec or ARC bar, I've tried.

actually my comment wasn't aimed at him. generally the bad reviews end up being pretty honest, since people don't like admitting they bought junk. the NRG is super weak and flexible, also not designed to clear coilover adjusters. i know, that's why i got rid of it. it was literally so weak that at certain angles i could hear the bar hitting my hood from the flex. the ebay is a copy of the NRG which copied the Richie which copied the ARC, so i'm sure it can only have gotten worse.

^im pretty sure he's talking about it flexing while tracking. If it's flexing during normal street driving then there's some serious issue with the bar

IMO, 9 out of 10 of the people buying these cheap knock-off bars are not ever going to put their car on a track or drive it hard enough for them to ever actually put the bar to the test. Whether you like to admit it or not, it's to look pretty under your hood. So it really probably won't make much of a difference if you spend $300 for a bar or $60.

I have the circuit sports strut bar(solid piece) and it made a huge difference when cornering. Along with stillen sways it was worth the money and wait to get it. And yeah it looks good. I prefer performance over looks, but I don't think an eBay strut bar is going to be a good performer considering its price.

Yeah that price is nuts unless you're pretty serious about auto-x'ing your car....in which case I would think a fully custom strut bar setup would be a better way to go.

I have heard and seen bad stuff from nrg bars, havent seen the eBay bars. Figured gt spec would be great and not to expensive for knowing it was worth it. I wish I could afford those motordyne sways
