This could be my first coupe-need opinions 03 6mt black
Ok so I've looked around on this site for a few months, and ended up finding a car I have interest in somewhere else. Just wanted to know what you guys (mainly the techies that roam these parts) think of this car and its mods for the price. Because frankly, I don't know much about cars as a whole and just wanted a nice G with good cosmetics, don't really care much about increasing performance or anything.

After market navi - pioneer avic z110bt also bypassed to navi while driving and connected to steering wheel.

The mileage is super low so idk how to put that into account... I would almost say thats kinda accurate for 22k original miles! Mine was stock OB 6mt with brembos at 97k miles and i bought it for 10k which i thought was pretty good.
Yeah I think it's a little much on the price, but I mean KBB has it at like 18,100 for excellent and fair condition. Like I said I'm not much for the performance and stuff like why the hell would you paint something 18k gold?
There are some things I just dont understand that people do to their cars...he said he has a show in April, but I dont know if he's just saying that, because from the pics he posted on the site, there is no evidence of sponsorship anywhere, not even around the license plate...
I'm torn, I like the low miles and the color, I want to put some Spec-d headlights on it with the black housing
But I know there is always negotiating to do, but I figured I'd see what some people think on here.
Thanks guys, still would like to hear from some more people

go test drive the car, and negotiate from there.. if hes asking around 18k then obviously u can shave off a few grand if u know what ur saying,.. and of course its a private seller.. always negotiable.. that kind of price hes asking his car wont be sold for a long time.. trust me.. i personally wouldnt spend that kind of money on an 03, no matter how many miles it has.. if i was to spend that kind of money id get me a decent mileage 05-08 G

I'm from MN and know the market pretty well. I would say thats too much for a 9 year old car. I paid 13k for my 03 last year with 86k. For 19k you can go buy an 06/07 coupe with under 50k miles and not modified. I'd say you are better set there(plus the interiors are nicer on them).
20 percent tint is illegal in MN, the legal limits are 35%. I rolled 20% on an older car and never had any trouble though. Its tough to see out of at night though

Seems high for that year...but that mileage is incredible. I'd actually be somewhat leary of that....that seems like SUPER low mileage for a 9 year old car. And why would he continue doing mods to it if he was planning on selling it?? Seems a little wierd to me. The mods he has done though are nothing that would deter me from buying it, I don't think they detract from the value really....it's all very basic stuff that really has no room for error. And the in-dash unit is a nice mod to already have done....that's about $1k right there. If the mileage is true, and nothing seems fishy with a possible past accident or salvage or something like that...I think it's a good buy for 18k (19k is pushing it)....but if you could get it for a couple grand less I'd jump on it. 22k miles is almost a new car in my eyes.
Get a CARFAX to begin with!
You guys crack me up....
....how can you compare what you bought with 80K miles on the clock with finding this '03 with extremely low mileage? Take this coupe for a ride, if she's in mint condition like she should be with her mileage offer the owner $2K less. The mods are mostly upgrades, nothing to be concerned about....Gary
As the original owner (Dec 2002) of a 2003 OB coupe that just turned 21,000 miles. My price would be firm. When you own a 9 yr old car with mileage that low you wouldn't normally need to sell the car in a hurry. As I see all these 06's and 07's becoming available but, with high mileage. If mine were for sale it would strengthen my resolve to not accept less $$$. Mine will not be for sale for at least 10 more years. (I've owned my Miata for 23 yrs) My G is immaculent inside and out, has all options including nav and is like driving a new car. There are very few G35coupes in my area (North AL) so it still attracts alot of attention.

Agreed. Those mods are not along the same lines as alot of modded cars out there...and on here. If it had a kit, extensive suspension work, turbo/supercharger, massive custom audio system, etc....I'd say buyer beware. But the few things done to this car are minor upgrades, all of which are straight forward and can't really be fudged up. Come on, shift ****? Tint? Z-tube? And a pretty engine bay? That doesn't sound like a car someone's been jerry-rigging.
I think the super low mileage is definetly worth a couple extra bucks. My G was almost $16k with about 3X that mileage....I definetly would have shelled out another grand or so for 50k miles! That's some serious usage/wear & tear!
for that kind of money, i would just buy 06. You get better hids, more hp engine and a way better cd009 transmission. If you want to get a 03 just get a cheaper 03 for 10-12k and use the money you save for supercharger..=)
