Apparently a white plastic cap from the ac line has popped out. I tried popping it back in but it won't go. Ud think there were holes for the clip parts but there isn't. Both lines are like this.

 

AFAIK They're just fail safes in case the junction wants to jump loose. I wouldn't worry too much about it, those are dependable connections, even with the right tool they're still a pain to separate.

A turbocharged Volvo I had for 4 years had those things dangling on the lines at 119K when I bought it.....190K and the A/C was still kicking just fine.
