Coupe Not Starting

ok recently when i tried to start my car it rolls over and takes a while to start so i chalked it up to the fact that it may need to tune up/ fuel pump issue............. but just a few days ago i went out for a drive (20 mins.) parked the car and when i was leaving it did the usual but then it died as soon as the key turned to start the car......... tried 2 batteries and the last one i tried was draining the car that was giving me a jump and now i'm stuck with a car that won't start as if all of the batteries are drained

any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance

Are you getting a check engine light? Other members would say its the starter. Get it checked out it first to rule it out. I say you might need to replace the camshaft sensors. Get or borrow a OBD-scanner and check for engine codes.

Were both batteries you tried tested good? It honestly sounds like you're dealing with low CCA's.

From the brief description sounds like a bad alternator to me.

@ lostangels01 i recently changed the crank angle sensor and i'm planning to change the camshaft sensors this week hopefully but i used a scan tool yesterday and nothing came up so the starter is what i'm guessing is the culprit right now.... and from previous car problems once the starter goes the alternator is next in line so i'm changing out the alternator as well

had a g in the shop with the same problem it ended up being the camshaft sensor. if you take them out you can check the resistance and see if they're still good cant remember the spec though you'd have to look it up. as for changing the starter then the alternator going right after that makes no sense at all so don't change the alternator unless the diode ripples are messed up or its not charging properly. The starter has nothing to do with the alternator the starter just starts the car then its job is done the alternator keeps the battery charging when the car is running if your battery is weak it can cause the alternator to go because its so low on charge the alternator has to work extra hard and the alternator going bad can cause your battery to go because its never getting charged hope this helps

Definately not your starter.

I agree with "SUGARS" the fuel pump is probably going bad.

For the people who don't understand the link between battery, alternator and starter here it is.

When the alternator starts getting weaker it causes battery voltage to drop. When battery voltage drops requires higher amps for starter, which causes starter to wear out. When Battery not getting adequate charge and higher AMP draw it will lead to premature battery life.
